In the silence of time

Ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated by other cultures and ancient civilizations. As an adult, I have traveled and have been able to enrich myself by visiting impressive palaces, temples, amphitheaters, fortifications and other infrastructure. It is unique what empires from long-gone times have to offer. The more a building is reabsorbed by nature, the greater the decay, the more beautiful I often find it. They often become works of art in themselves. In this series of works, I have used color and structure to let the beauty of ruins in their imperfection sink in and depicted them in my own way.
